CMYK to HEX

CMYK and RGB/HEX have different color gamuts (ranges of colors they can reproduce). Some print colors can't be perfectly matched on screens and vice versa. Additionally, print results depend on paper type, ink quality, and printer calibration.

Our conversion uses industry-standard algorithms that provide excellent results for most applications. However, due to the fundamental differences between subtractive (CMYK) and additive (RGB) color models, some colors may not convert perfectly.

Use CMYK for any material that will be printed (brochures, business cards, etc.). Use HEX (or RGB) for digital applications (websites, apps, digital displays) as these use light to create colors rather than ink.

The "K" in CMYK stands for "Key" (or sometimes "Black"). It's called key because it's often the key plate that aligns all other colors in printing. Using a separate black ink produces deeper, richer blacks than combining cyan, magenta, and yellow.

Yes, you can convert HEX to CMYK, but the same limitations apply - some digital colors can't be perfectly reproduced in print. For professional printing workflows, always consult with your printer and use Pantone color references when precision is critical.
