HSVからCMYKへ

HSV is ideal for digital design work, while CMYK is the standard for printing. Directly using digital colors in print can result in unexpected color shifts because these models use fundamentally different methods to create color (light emission vs. light absorption). Conversion ensures your designs maintain their intended appearance across mediums.

The K (Key) component serves several purposes: it creates deeper, richer blacks than mixing C, M, and Y can achieve; it reduces ink usage and drying time; it improves text sharpness; and it avoids registration issues that occur when aligning three colors perfectly. This is why professional printing uses four separate ink channels.

Several factors affect print results: paper type and color, ink quality, printer calibration, and even environmental conditions like humidity. Additionally, CMYK has a smaller color gamut than digital color models, meaning some bright digital colors can't be perfectly reproduced in print and must be adjusted.

どちらも色相を他の属性から分離する円筒形のカラーモデルですが、明度の測定方法が異なります。HSVの明度は色の光量を表し、HSLの明度は黒と白の間の色の位置を表します。HSVは画面上の光の働きと一致しているため、デジタルデザインではより直感的に感じられることが多いです。

デザインを最終決定する前に、必ずCMYKカラーに変換してください。色域警告ツールを使用して、重要な色がCMYK色域内に収まっていることを確認してください。ロゴなどの重要な色については、具体的な色値について印刷会社にご相談ください。デジタルプルーフでは印刷結果を完全に再現できないため、本番制作の前に物理的なプルーフを依頼してください。
